Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire the German industrial pump producer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from private fairness agency Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen in the Allgäu region of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used mainly in the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for meals and beverage and cosmetics functions.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing facilities in Germany, a US subsidiary and a world gross sales and repair footprint. The firm employs 265 individuals and had 2020 revenues of approximately €46.4 million.
“Industrial pumps is a segment that we now have identified as a strategic match for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has main differentiated know-how with a strong aftermarket enterprise,” stated Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique enterprise space. “Wangen Pumpen is a powerful model and is thought for quality in demanding industrial purposes. This acquisition will create a stable basis for further growth in new industrial pump segments.”
